Please be considerate when parking your car, particularly where and how you are parking. Frequently, the pavements are blocked and neighbours are unable to access their driveways. This is not only frustrating, but dangerous. As a result of this, two pupils this term have been vulnerable to such negligence. As a school we are unable to police North Crescent or Hyde Way, nor get involved in parking / driving disputes. Please report any unsociable parking / driving at this website; as will we. https://saferessexroads.org/extraeyes/ex tra-eyes-what-next/. Additional information can be found on this website too, https://www.essex.police.uk/ask-the-police/category/141/. Permits for the Ladygate Car Park can be obtained, free of charge, from the school office. Thank you.

Week 5- How to catch a star!

Week 5- How to Catch a Star

How to Catch a Star - Oliver Jeffers

Once there was a boy, and that boy loved stars very much. So much so that he decided to catch one of his very own. But how? Waiting for them to grow tired from being up in the sky all night doesn't work. Climbing to the top of the tallest tree?

We have loved reading this story. Children explored the illustrations and made predictions about the story, ordered sentences, drew and made their own stars and even created their own 'starry night' pictures.
