The Big Question
24.02.22
If you had a river of Ooblek, what conclusion could you make about the best way to get across?
Adventurers 4 investigated the best way to travel through Ooblek. We chose 4 methods of travel, these were; walking along the Ooblek; jumping across the Ooblek; travelling by boat; and driving in a car. Through the experimental process we found that to remain solid, the Ooblek required a downward force, and therefore jumping was the most effective method of travel. The other methods either sank the transport or provided to much resistance to move along.

Our Science Big Question (liquids)
LI: To investigate the viscosity of liquids
16.11.21
Today in Adventurers 4 we took part in an investigation to explore the viscosity of liquids. As a class, we were provided with a selection of resources, without the purpose of the lesson made clear. We then had to act as scientists to depict what the investigation could be. Once we had discovered the purpose, we discussed our method, made a prediction and began testing. We made a number of discoveries throughout the session, for instance that the most viscous substance was olive oil (we also found out how this can be used to separate liquids from one another).

This Friday we will be supporting Children in Need. Children therefore may come into school wearing non- school uniform. We do ask for the children to kindly bring in a small donation on the day, to aid in supporting the charity, to change the lives of children and young people across the UK.
