Diary reading and writing

Diary Reading and Writing

First read the diary entry for Monday 7th May 1945. Then you could answer the questions either verbally or write the answers down. Repeat for diary entry Tuesday 8th May 1945.

Diary Writing Task

Think about the diary entries read above and talk about what is needed
in a diary (writing about things that have happened, sharing feelings).
Your child can then write their own diary entry about a memorable event using the
writing task sheet. This could be a trip to the beach, playing a favourite game at
home, a birthday or any other event that they can remember.

Maybe they could keep a daily diary of their thoughts and activities so they can look back at the time they spent in 'lockdown'.
