White rose maths

In Explorers class we follow the white rose scheme of learning that covers  maths in detail and ensures 'good fluency' in all areas including reasoning, problem solving and counting.  This maths scheme offers an opportunity for children in reception to learn at a deeper level to ensure understanding and confidence as they move up the school. As in all year groups, reception is no different when offering challenging learning activities to children whatever level of development they may be working towards.  I have added some links to the white rose home learning page which offers really useful activities and resources. These can be found in the maths resources section.

Week beginning 11th January 2021

Hi Explorers,

All of the planning and resources for the week can be found on this page in the sub sections above.  We have been exploring the story 'The gingerbread man' and have made a list of the characters. We have also been finding words to describe big and little.
