Easter Holiday Home Learning Project
Renewable energy and Homes of the future.
One of North Crescent Primary School’s Curriculum Drivers is:
Planet Earth - What is our place in the world and how should we live? We need communication skills and understanding to listen, learn and respond to what is around us, here and now, before and beyond.
We would like children to engage with Science by building links between home and school. The Home Learning project is for families to try together, to create moments of awe and wonder, reinforce the idea that science can happen anywhere and give children valuable opportunities to talk about science beyond the classroom.
It is important that children are aware of the problems caused by our growing demand for energy, as well as the different types of renewable energy that are available to us. Perhaps we can inspire a generation of scientists that will devise cleaner and more efficient ways to provide the world with all the energy it needs!
Project details:
This Home Learning Project is to be brought in to school or emailed to homelearning@northcrescent.org by Monday 25th April.
The children will be sharing their projects with the whole school.
Please have fun with your projects and I am looking forward to seeing them.
Mrs. Barber
Resources:
Here are some videos and pictures that might help you:
All children in Year 2 must know their 2,5, and 10 times tables fluently.
Please practise these tables with your child so they can give you an instant answer when asked random table facts. E.g 2x10= 4x5= 8x2= etc…
If your child has to work out the answer they do not know their times tables to the level expected in the National Curriculum.
