Wellbeing Support Services

Our School Vision
We want our pupils to have the knowledge, skills and confidence to navigate their future worlds, to be happy with who they are, recognise their uniqueness, and have control over who they want to become.

If you have a concern for a pupil, yourself or family member we can listen and help to point you towards advice and support. Look below to see what we offer in term time and some direct links to public services.

We have many implicit and explicit strategies in place to enable our pupils to mine their grit but also to support them when they do not feel at their strongest.

  • Our policies on wellbeing and safeguarding are robust with current trends and guidance. Our trust has Wellbeing Champions in each school. North Crescent has a Pastoral lead.
  • Within the our curriculum and timetables are opportunities to explore and express emotional needs and themes, in PSHE, RE, Reading and Writing, PE and daily Mindful Movement.
  • Each class uses Zones of Regulation as a visual check-in, with a tables for reflective time - including a Worry Monster soft toy, which has room in his tummy to store your worries. We reward and celebrate effort; no matter the outcome.
  • Around the school we have trained Peer Mentors, breakfast club, lunchtime and after school clubs, including physical games and sports.
